Announcing the QuickSearch File Manager

 What is it?
 -----------
 
 Two of the most frequent questions I get asked are: "Can callers upload into
 a QuickSearch database?" and "Can I do file maintenance from a TBBS menu?"
 
 With the new QuickSearch File Manager program the answer to both of these
 questions is an unqualified "Yes". It provides complete file management
 capabilities; everything from a simple upload prompt into a single database
 directory to full file management (Add, Find, Replace, Delete files) on all
 directories in a QuickSearch database. Command line switches allow you to
 enable/disable functions, privilege levels let you control who has access
 to them, and a global security option lets you restrict the replace and
 delete commands to only those files that a caller has previously uploaded.
 
 And it's easy to use. Everything a caller can possibly perform is prompted
 and a customizable online help file lets you add your own directions.
 
 
 What can I use it for?
 ----------------------
 
 Any situation in which you need to create a database of text files that
 callers will contribute to, such as a job database, an advertising
 database, a realty database or a technical support database, to name a few.
 
 And for situations in which you will be installing a database that needs to
 be maintained remotely, either by yourself or by one or more callers, it is
 ideal. It allows complete maintenance from a single TBBS menu command. The
 functions provided allow you to:
 
         - Add files
         - Delete files
         - Replace files
         - List files
         - Find files
 
 Commands work with both text files and binary file attachments. Batch files
 allow the index to be updated rapidly during regular maintenance events.
 
 And of course, once the files are indexed, you have the full text searching
 capabilities of our boolean search engine to find and display or download
 them. The File Manager program extends the capabilities of QuickSearch to a
 database that callers can contribute to and that you, or other callers, can
 maintain from a TBBS menu command.
